What we collect, and why
Account and access information(via GoHighLevel): your name, email address, and membership status. Used to verify who you are and what you're entitled to access. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
Conversations with the AI tools: the messages you send to any of the boundary tools, and the tool's responses, stored so you can return to past conversations. Lawful basis: performance of a contract for the storage itself. Where a conversation incidentally includes special category data (see below), the applicable basis is your explicit consent, given by continuing to use the tool after being informed of this notice.
Feedback submissions: your ratings, written feedback, and — only if you explicitly agree at the point of submitting — a link to the specific conversation the feedback relates to. Lawful basis: explicit consent for the conversation link specifically; legitimate interest (improving the service) for the rest.
Special category data — please read this
Article 9 of UK GDPR defines certain categories of personal data as requiring extra protection: health information, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, racial or ethnic origin, and others. Our AI tools are built to focus strictly on boundary-setting conversations and never ask for this kind of information directly — but because you're describing real situations in your own words, this kind of detail can come up incidentally (for example, mentioning a family member's health condition).
By using the tools and sharing this kind of detail voluntarily, you are providing explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)) for us to process it for the purpose of delivering the coaching tool you've chosen to use. You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting the relevant conversation or your data as a whole (see "Your rights"), or by contacting us.
Who we share data with
We use the following services to deliver the AI tools. Each processes data on our behalf and is never permitted to use your data for its own purposes:
- Anthropic (Claude API)— processes the content of your messages to generate the tool's responses. [CONFIRM: data residency and applicable DPA terms]
- Supabase — stores your conversation history and feedback submissions. [CONFIRM: hosting region (project is deployed in AWS eu-west-1, Ireland — confirm this stands)]
- GoHighLevel — manages your account, membership status, and login.
- Vercel — hosts the application itself.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your conversations to train any AI model.
International data transfers
[CONFIRM: each processor's hosting location and the safeguard relied upon (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decision) — don't finalise this notice without confirming]
How long we keep your data
Conversation history is kept until you delete it. Feedback submissions are kept for 24 months for service improvement analysis, after which identifying details are removed and only anonymised rating/type data is retained.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you — your account information, every conversation and message across all tools, and any feedback you've submitted
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data. Deleting a single conversation inside a tool removes it from your account immediately. For complete, permanent erasure of all your conversations and messages, use Settings → Delete all my data — or contact us and we'll do it for you. Feedback you've submitted is anonymised rather than deleted, so no link to you remains.
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe your data has been mishandled
To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@reconnectyourself.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month.
Automated decision-making
The AI tools generate personalised responses based on what you share, but this does not involve automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. Membership and access decisions are handled by Ian directly through the standard membership system, not by the AI tools.
